According to the word of God the plan of salvation is a simple one, but it requires first that one admit they are a sinner according to Romans 3:10 and that they are lost without God.
Repentance and faith on behalf of the poor lost soul, exhibited in Jesus Christ is the only requirement according to Acts 2:37 and Acts 10:43.
Ephesians 2:8-9 Declares to us that it is thru faith alone in Jesus Christ and not thru any merit or good work of our own that we are saved.
How and Where Can I Get Saved?
The plan of salvation is the same for all men and women and all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. It makes no difference whether you’re out and about, at home, on the job, or sitting somewhere all alone. God is all knowing and can meet you right where you are.
The Bible says:
John 3:14-18 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have Everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
John 3:36 "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
John 3:7 "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
Romans 3:23-26 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus."
Romans 5:6-11 "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement."
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Acts 16:31 "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
Acts 17:30-31 "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead."
Luke 24:45-47 "Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And he said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
Revelation 20:11-15 "And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 22:17 "And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely."
What do I do?
Faith come by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Saying words alone will not save you, it is a matter of the heart. The Holy Spirit draws us (invites us) and it is then up to us (our will) as to whether we accept the invitation of the Holy Spirit to receive Gods gift of salvation through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus came as a living sacrifice for our sins, so that whosoever will, can come to salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price at Calvary's cross for all who believe it.
Ask Jesus to come into your heart, seek him with a true honest heart, pray to God wherever you are (with a contrite heart), the Word of God brings Truth, because Jesus is the Word and He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Jesus (the Word of God) sent His Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to you. This is found by faith believing in Gods Word.
Read the Bible, ask God to show you His Truth. The bible says if you knock, the door (which is Jesus) will open to you.
If you know that the Holy Spirit is speaking to your heart, He is drawing you to come to Jesus, and all you need to do is say yes, and receive the Lords gift of salvation through faith, this will mean you will repent of all the things God shows you that are against His Word, and you will follow Jesus.
If you receive Gods gift of salvation (Jesus) and are born again, the bible says you will then be a new creation. You will no longer be a sinner separated from God, but through Jesus you will be Born again. This means you become a child of God, you are brought into right standing and relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ.
The following prayer is outlined to help you in seeking the Lord, on its own (saying the words) doesn't necessarily bring salvation, but if you truly believe what you are asking with a true repentant heart in response to the Holy Spirits drawing, then you will be saved.
We pray that you can hear the small voice of the Holy Spirit today urging you to come and receive Gods gift of salvation, pray this prayer in all heartfelt manner, and believe by faith in Jesus to receive His gift of salvation today ;
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you in the Name of Jesus.
I believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, and three days later was raised from the dead, and He is Alive !
Gods Word says in (Romans 10:9-10), if I confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved.
I'm asking you Lord Jesus Christ, please come into my heart, I'm asking by faith and believing you will hear my heartfelt prayer.
I'm sorry for my sins, the things I have done, and the way I have lived. Please forgive me, wash me, and cleanse me in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
I surrender my past, my present, and my future to you Lord.
I have given my heart to Jesus, I fully Trust in Jesus for all my needs, I have given my life to Him, and have decided to follow Him from now on!
And I believe God's Word, which cannot lie, and I can now honestly say now that I am saved!
I thank you Jesus for your precious gift of salvation, I believe I'm now a new creation in Christ Jesus!
Thank you Lord God. Amen.
